The Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine is seeking a full time psychiatrist. The assigned duties will be at the WakeBrook campus in Raleigh, NC. UNC Health Care at WakeBrook consists of a Crisis and Assessment clinic operating at all times, a 28 bed acute inpatient unit and two 16 bed residential units, one providing non-hospital medical detoxification, and the other short term psychiatric stabilization. This will be a full-time fixed term (clinical) positions at rank commensurate with experience. The major expectation for these positions will be the provision of evidence based direct behavioral health care to residents of Wake County with a variety of psychiatric and substance use conditions at UNC Health Care at WakeBrook.
Education and Experience:
The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills and experience working with a multi-disciplinary team, including trainees from a variety of disciplines. Candidates should have clinical experience working with the severe and persistently mentally ill, and substance using patients.
