Employment Type: Permanent Faculty Vacancy ID: FAC0003222 Position Summary/Description: The Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine is seeking one clinician to work on a 16 bed residential unit providing non-hospital medical detoxification and addictions treatment at the WakeBrook Campus in Raleigh, NC. This is a full-time fixed term (clinical) position at the Clinical Instructor rank. The major expectations for this position will be the provision of evidence based direct behavioral health care to residents of Wake County with a variety of substance abuse and psychiatric conditions. Education and Experience: The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills and experience working with a multi-disciplinary team, including trainees from a variety of disciplines. Candidates should have clinical experience working with adults seeking intensive substance abuse treatment, many who are also dually diagnosed. Additionally, the successful candidate will be comfortable in a fast paced setting, have group psychoeducational skills, an understanding of addiction and its' impact on families/communities, and competency in completing clinical and risk assessments. Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with detoxification patients, local case management resources and bilingual (Spanish) speakers.
