The Hamilton Healthcare System (HHS) is seeking an experienced Human Resources (HR) Director to serve their facility. HHS, located in Hamilton, TX, is a full-service acute care rural community-owned hospital providing a wide range of patient-focused care with a commitment to patient satisfaction in serving the healthcare needs of their patients in Hamilton County and the surrounding areas.
HHS, a licensed medical/surgical Critical Access Hospital (CAH), is DNV Accredited and has 3 Rural Health Clinics, Solutions Behavioral Health Clinic, a Wellness Center, an EMS service providing the highest level of pre-hospital emergency medicine possible and has an Emergency Department that is a Level IV designated Trauma Center staffed by physicians and nurses trained and skilled in emergency services, available 24/7.
The successful candidate for the HHS HR Director position will have a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or HR experience, along with leadership and management abilities including exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in an HR Manager or Director role in a hospital organization is highly preferred. Candidate should possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field.
Responsible for the overall planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling of the human resources functions of the institution. Successful candidate shall promote the effective and efficient utilization of hospital personnel; ensure that each department is compliant with the institution's HR policies and procedures ensuring consistency throughout the organzation. Plan, coordinate, and administer policies, procedures, and programs that relate to all phases of the human resources activities, including employee relations; compensation and benefits; orientation, training and development; recruitment, selection and employment; as well as, counseling, evaluations, discipline and terminations.
Hamilton is a city in and the county seat of Hamilton County TX. Hamilton County’s population was 8,517 in 2010 census. Hamilton is located at the intersection of US 281 and SH36–70 miles west of Waco, 100 miles northwest of Austin, 110 miles southwest of Dallas/Ft. Worth. The Hamilton County Courthouse, built in 1887, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in April 1980. The county was created in 1858. It is named for James Hamilton Jr., a former governor of South Carolina who gave financial aid to the Republic of Texas.
