The Chatham County Public Health Department (CCPHD) seeks a positive and self-driven Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program (BCCCP) Nurse Navigator who utilizes highly effective communication and organizational skills in a variety of settings and to a highly diverse population. CCPHD’s mission is to build a healthy Chatham County through community partnerships and a commitment to equity, and this position plays an important role in carrying out this mission.
The primary purpose of this position is to develop, coordinate and manage the Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program (BCCCP) according to specific guidelines as outlined in the annual Agreement Addenda with NC Department of Health and Human Services (NC DHHS)/Division of Public Health (NC DPH). This position will provide support to other clinic services including Family Planning, Communicable Disease, Immunizations, general clinic services, and community programs as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing and one year of professional nursing experience. Individuals employed in a local Health Department without a B.S. Degree which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation or a Master’s in Public Health, will be required to complete the “Introduction to Principles and Practices of Public Health Nursing” course within one year of employment as a condition of continued employment in accordance with Health Services Commission Rule.
Salary
Grade 66: $56,169 - $68,860
