Southern Regional Area Health Education Center (SR-AHEC), a community-based ACGME accredited Family Medicine Residency Program with Osteopathic recognition, affiliated with Duke University, located in Fayetteville, NC is recruiting a Core Faculty Position to join our residency.
This core faculty position will be based at our residency practice. We are looking for a dedicated individual who shares our philosophy of serving the community and supporting our academic mission. The position requires direct patient care (30%), resident and medical student teaching, precepting, and curriculum development (50%), and administrative and scholarly activities (20%). Inpatient attending, night and weekend calls required.
Our practice serves an ethnically and socio-economically diverse patient population including many military reservists, active duty members’ families and retirees. The clinic offers chronic disease management programs and strong clinical practice operations, including on-site Clinical Pharmacy Department, extensive Behavior Health specialist support, an engaged Quality Improvement Department and Electronic Medical Record Support Specialist.
Special consideration will be given to candidates who have interest and training in sports medicine, academic medicine, women’s health and research. An ideal candidate will be full-time, board certified, and possess a strong commitment to resident education.
